Dan came to New Orleans from Pennsylvania.
He earned a Masters of Architecture in 2009 from Tulane University with a thesis entitled ‘Permeable Bodies : Public Spaces’ that sought to cultivate public spaces in the vague terrain between the typical hermetic urban buildings of Post-WWII globalization.
Working on small custom residential and commercial projects, he developed a love of precise detailing and a respect for craft and atmosphere, and he enjoys when design is an experimental process, emerging out of open collaboration and communication.
Periodically, he enters architectural competitions, working alongside friends to explore ideas about design and ecology. He has exhibited at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art and AIA Center For Architecture in New York City. Recently, Dan worked with Big Class, Antenna Gallery and Press Street on designs for a reading room and classroom in their space on St. Claude Ave.
Dan drives a bike and has a beard.
