Lavin-Bernick Center for University Life

StudioWTA was honored to act as Associate Architect for VJAA in this complete reinvention of Tulane’s existing University Center. The project was focused on connecting building and campus in order to engage students and visitors more fully, through a combination of passive and active systems.

studioWTA Offices

The most daunting challenge an architect faces is often the design of his or her own space, but this 1937 factory building in downtown New Orleans provided clear inspiration as a collaborative workspace for studioWTA.

St. Joseph Rebuild Center

With an outreach objective to serve 250 to 300 people per day, this facility is a social service and recovery center for the transient population of New Orleans that burgeoned in the aftermath of the destruction resulting from hurricane Katrina and the levee failures.

Rice Mill Lofts

Adaptive reuse of a derelict, five-story masonry warehouse into 20,000 sf of ground floor commercial space and sixty residential lofts, townhouses, and penthouses, as well as an expansive roof deck.

Jefferson Presbyterian Church

Warm but minimal chapel inspired by an “economy of means” and religious iconography for a small congregation whose previous church had been destroyed by fire.
