A native of Opelousas, LA, and with close family ties to Iceland, Alyce has been influenced by both places greatly in her design work. Schooled from a young age in old home repair and carpentry by her family, she began her formal architectural education at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. While at UL she became deeply interested in the relationship between culture and architecture across various landscapes. Specifically, She studied Louisiana coastal architecture over several years, with her culminating project exploring the relationship of ecotourism and land conservation in Iceland.

Pursuing her masters at Tulane, Alyce worked with the Tulane City Center and on the Urban Build 8 Team which constructed the Lasalle St Market, a series of movable market pods rented out to the community as business incubators.

Prior to joining studioWTA Alyce worked on a number of small, detail oriented, contemporary residential projects in New Orleans. When Alyce isn’t at the studio you’ll find her soaking up as much music as possible either by playing or listening.
